Johnson County Health Services

Benson Method was engaged by Johnson County, KS as part of the Owner’s Representative team for the development of a new 140,000 SF building on Johnson County’s Sunset campus in Olathe, Kansas. This facility will consolidate a range of crucial county services under one roof, enhancing accessibility and coordination for residents.

The new building will house multiple different services provided by the Mental Health Department, the Department of Health and Environment, and the Department of Aging and Human Services Nutrition Programs. As the Owner’s Representative we will oversee the project from design through construction, ensuring it meets the county’s needs and objectives.

The project provides unique coordination as the new building is being constructed 24’ from the existing Health Services Building and Evergreen Living Community, which will remain occupied during construction. A detailed communication and execution plan has been developed with the adjacent buildings and our construction partner to limit disruption to visitors and residents.
